Our Company

Koerner Agro Export Center started out as a small trading company by Mr Oliver Winter back in 1999.  Spotting a gap in the market for high quality and safe exotic products, Mr Oliver Winter teamed up with Mr Veera Liknasudh, who brought with him the technical background of sourcing and manufacturing from the seafood industry, to establish a solid foundation for Koerner.  By reaching out to farmers across the country and providing them with information and guidance, Koerner was able to slowly set up a trustworthy network of contract farmers across Thailand to export fresh fruits and vegetables around the World.  In 2004, the first packhouse (MMC) in Pathumthani was built close to the airport.  Home to 50 workers and a production capacity of 80 tons per month, the business continued to flourish and a second packhouse (HMT) soon followed in 2009 in Nakorn Pathom with 150 workers and a production capacity of another 150 tons per month.  HMT packhouse is conveniently located in the heart of the agricultural zone amongst fields of aspargus, baby corn, lemongrass and okra which helped cut down valuable logistic time and drastically impoved the quality and shelf life of products.  In the meantime, Koerner also set up a European sales office in Hamburg, Germany, so customers can always get hold of someone on the ground at any time without having to worry about the time-difference barrier.

Throughout the years, Koerner has always strived to maintain high internationl standards with GMP, HACCP, Global GAP, and IFS Certifications.  In 2012, Koerner was the first company in Thailand to offer Fairtrade Passion fruits to the World (FLO ID 28433).  The Fairtrade Premium gained through the sales of these fruits went straight to Bann Dok Daeng Cooperative in Chiang Mai to fund social projects of their choice.  Koerner is also a long-time member of SEDEX.  By tailoring the certification program and working closely with our farmers, all of these farms have also passed SEDEX inspection :  Asparagus, Baby corn, Lemongrass, Galanga, Okra, Banana leaves, Long yard beans, Mango Nam Dok Mai, Chilli, Papaya, Rambutan, Mangosteen, Turmeric and Thai Mix.

Looking to the future, Koerner plans to invest more in the farming sector to meet the growing demands of customers for safe exotic fresh fruits and vegetables, whilst at the same time expand its business in the sea freight sector for both fresh and frozen (IQF) products.
